I am enthusiastic about encouraging my students to pursue whatever music they wish to play!
I offer Flute and Piano instruction for students of all ages. I am classically trained in performance on both the flute and the piano. I am able to teach students how to read music, and I provide instruction on technique, posture, music theory, and performance.
FLUTE STUDENTS: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced
HOURLY RATE: $30 per hour
I use diaphragmatic breathing to play the flute and I teach that breathing technique to my flute students.
PIANO STUDENTS: Beginning, Intermediate
HOURLY RATE: $20 per hour
TEACHING LOCATIONS: My home, Your home, Online via Zoom
TRAVEL TO YOUR HOME: $5.00 travel charge per lesson
Musical experience:
I began playing the piano at the age of 3, and began learning how to read music shortly thereafter. My father was a pianist and a music educator.
I began playing the flute at the age of 9. In my early 20’s I had the privilege of being accepted as a student by flutist Yaada Weber at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music – with whom I studied with for 5 years, and under whose tutelage I performed several solo recitals.
In recent years I have performed jazz, blues, and popular music with musicians in both San Francisco, California and in Cleveland, Ohio.
